the technologist

In my neverending quest to make The Technologist a one-stop shopping thoroughfare for quality electronic music, I have added the BEATPORT.com Top 30 Downloads page to the Permanent Fixtures section on the sidebar.

Beatport is a pretty nifty site (that’s right - I used the word “nifty”). I buy most of my tracks from there and use them in conjunction with M-Audio’s Torq dj software. They really get the whole Web 2.0 thing and have come up with a flash-based (like their entire site) player generator. I’ll probably be adding more pages using this as I come up with different configurations, but for now, you have the Top 30 most downloaded tracks for the Tech-House, Electro-House, Minimal, and straight up House genres.

Check out the sidebar or click on the hyperlink in the first page to check it out. The cool part is that these are dynamically updated - always the most current tracks for your listening (and purchasing) pleasure.
